Carvana: Haulerdays 2023

Visual Design, Art Direction, Brand Activation

Carvana strives to be a force for good, and Haulerdays is just one example of how we show up in our communities.

What started almost 10 years ago as a seasonal vinyl wrap for our Haulers (our transportation vehicles) has since evolved into a multi-faceted campaign including bespoke design directions, community giveback efforts, and employee engagement.

For the 2023 holiday season, we chose to support organizations with a mission to close the transportation gap, facilitating the connection between individuals and the communities and opportunities they value most. We worked with Atlanta-based non-profit, Open Hand, to surprise three volunteer drivers with a new car. These volunteers selflessly give up time in their own lives to help others, putting extra wear and tear on their vehicles as they deliver meals to those who need them.

Our design direction made use of modular building blocks and clean, geometric motifs, representing how our communities are a result of individual people coming together, forming a whole greater than the sum of its parts.

This project gave me the opportunity to lead in conceptualization, design development, and art direction, as I partnered with the Brand Activations team to bring the campaign to life.

We designed a system of modular building blocks, reflecting how our communities are a result of individuals coming together, forming a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The designs scaled across multiple employee and customer touch points including Haulers, Vending Machine lobbies, employee swag, social media, the Carvana blog, and more.
